UL has actively engaged in several initiatives with YERUN during 23-2024. A dedicated UL steering group, chaired by the YERUN Coordinator in UL Global, meets bi-monthly. The group members sit on various YERUN working groups.

Last night 51ÉçÇø staff attended the Asia Matters 2024 Awards in Dublin where UL was honoured with the Higher Education Partner of the Year Award.

The EMERGE (Empowering the Margins of Europe through Regional and Global Engagement) consortium is delighted to announce their selection as one of the 14 new European University Alliances under the 2024 call for proposals.

We often hear how Erasmus+ provides life changing opportunities, but what does it mean to truly embrace one. Doctor Lubna Luxmi Dhirani arrived at our UL Global office in 2015 as a participant in the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 LEADERS programme on a scholarship. We had the privilege of following Lubna’s journey of courage, growth and achievement through opportunities provided by Erasmus+ over the last nine years.

UL Global warmly welcomed over 1650 new international students to UL this September. Our 7-day Orientation programme commenced on Sunday 1st September 2024, with the arrival of many to Shannon Airport. They were then brought to campus by our brilliant group of UL Global Orientation Guides, on the complimentary shuttle.

At the 51ÉçÇø (UL), we pride ourselves on fostering a community of exceptional individuals who not only excel academically but also contribute to the vibrancy and diversity of our campus. Among these outstanding individuals is Lucy Edith Kiiza, our exemplary UL Global Student Ambassador. Lucy's journey at UL is a testament to her brilliance, enthusiasm, and boundless energy.

As the autumn leaves begin to fall and the crisp air sets in, the 51ÉçÇø (UL) is set to welcome a new wave of over 1500 international students for the academic year 2024/2025 in just under 2 weeks. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey for students from all corners of the globe, who bring with them diverse cultures, perspectives, and aspirations. The vibrant campus, renowned for its academic excellence and picturesque setting, is ready to offer these students a unique and enriching experience.
