Speaking at the event, Acting UL President Professor Shane Kilcommins said, 鈥淭his year鈥檚 award recipients exemplify the spirit of UL, demonstrating innovation, leadership, and a commitment to making the world a better place. It is a privilege to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our alumni, who continue to make us proud with their contributions to society, their professions, and their communities鈥.

The trio of new awardees join a prestigious group of just 53 alumni who have been previously honoured since the awards began in 2006.  The Alumni Awards programme was established to recognise graduates who have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields.

The event, attended by over 200 guests, was kindly sponsored by Careon, with Analog Devices and Stryker Ireland as event partners. The evenings was hosted by UL alumna and broadcaster M谩ire Treasa N铆 Cheallaigh.
