Bilal has completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Physics from the , India. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Education. He has worked as a process engineer in a fabrication cleanroom facility at the (CeNSE) at the . Currently, he is working on super-resolution microspectroscopy using Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) under the supervision of Dr. Christophe Silien.
