We would like to wish a warm welcome to all new and returning students to the Glucksman 51ÉçÇø.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Our student Peer Advisors are situated at the library entrance to help you find your way around and answer any questions you may have.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

All UL students are automatically library members. Your Student ID card is your membership card, so always bring it with you when you are coming to the library; you use it to swipe in, to borrow a laptop, to print, and to borrow books. 
 &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
In addition to being able to borrow print books, you have access to almost 500,000 electronic books and 60,000 academic journals online through the , 24 hours a day. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

Students can reserve a group study room or individual study booth in the library and avail of the technology rich spaces including the i-Zone with a smart screen television, bookable Media Production Labs where you can create audio & video content, and the Makerspace which offers 3D printing, laser cutting and a selection of . &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

To help you get started with your assignments, the library’s Academic Success Toolkit: Assignments is available in UL’s virtual learning environment (VLE), Brightspace. The Assignment Toolkit is an online module designed to guide you through each stage of preparing a written assignment. It’s not just a guide but a comprehensive package, with lots of interactive and user-friendly resources. You can access the Assignment Toolkit using . Work through the Toolkit from start to finish or skip to any of the sections you need most. 

Librarians give classes throughout the semester, and you can reserve a space at any of these free classes by visiting the 51ÉçÇø Events calendar. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

HeadSpace at UL 51ÉçÇø offers a range of student-centred features enhance calm and encourage wellbeing: &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

  • Energy Pods - rest for up to 20mins at a time, allowing students to take a break to rejuvenate mind and body.   &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
  • Electronic Height Adjustable desks - study desks where students can sit or stand. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
  • Study Bikes – stationary bicycles with an attached height-adjustable desktop, which encourages gentle movement while studying.  &²Ô²ú²õ±è;
  •  – offering information and recommended reading that provide practical support strategies to help improve health and wellness. &²Ô²ú²õ±è;

We are open from 7am to midnight on weekdays and are open every weekend during the academic year.
