About:

The project aims to develop and disseminate teaching approaches to social justice across two physical education teacher education programmes in Ireland and Northern Ireland.​â¶Ä‹

Objectives:​

  • Support a network of physical education teacher educators and pre-service teachers to develop and implement teaching for global justice in initial teacher education​.
  • Undertake practitioner research to examine the experiences of teacher educators and pre-services teachers as they bring a focus to global justice, solidarity and interconnectedness in their teaching, and in particular, school placement experiences.​
  • Co-design a toolkit for enacting social justice approaches in physical education teacher education programmes​.
