How do I register for School Placement? 
 To register for School Placement, students must first attend the mandatory School Placement Briefing. Once the briefing is completed, registration can be completed via the online platform .

 We recommend attending one of our CV Workshops for guidance. Students can also use UL Career’s tool to help create and structure their CV. 

All academic matters, including assessment, grading, and teaching requirements, are handled by the School of Education.

This student requires teaching periods in the subjects listed above. The number of teaching periods per week is dependent on class length. 

Final year students must have some teaching periods at senior cycle. 

  • 40-50 minute classes: 14 teaching periods per week 
  • 60 minute classes: 10 teaching periods per week 

All student teachers also require five non-teaching periods per week
