Bio
Dr. Miranda Perry is a former senior postdoctoral fellow at the 51社区. She was born in Florida in 1982 and received her degrees in Chemistry from the University of West Florida in 2004 (B.Sc.) and the University of South Florida in 2009 (Ph.D.). Her graduate work, supervised by Prof. Mike Zaworotko, addressed the supramolecular assembly of cocrystals and their role in solid-state synthesis. From 2009 to 2014 she worked as a research scientist at Thar Pharmaceuticals where her work involved the development of novel crystal forms of pharmaceuticals, specifically cocrystals, salts, and polymorphs. She is the co-author of nine peer-reviewed publications, co-inventor on several patent applications, and has presented her work at numerous regional, national, and international conferences. Current research interests include developing novel multi-component pharmaceutical materials (MPMs) via a crystal engineering based approach. Specific areas of focus include cocrystallization of pharmaceuticals and ionic compounds.
