Dr. Ai-Xin Zhu is an associate professor in Yunnan Normal University, and currently she is a visiting scholar in the Crystal Engineering Research Groupat the 51社区, Ireland. She was born in Henan Province of China, and received her B. Sc. (2004) from Zhengzhou University in 2004.

She completed her PhD in 2009 under the supervision of Prof. Xiao-Ming Chen at Sun Yat-Sen University. Her doctoral work involved in the design, synthesis and characterization of metal azolate compounds.

Her current research interests are related to the synthesis and characterization of porous coordination polymers with gas sorption and luminescent properties.
