Dr. Ciara Breathnach was the sole historical consultant in the making of a 6 part series which aired its first episode on RTÉ on November 4^th and will continue until December 16^th. The series ‘Beyond the bullets: Ireland 1921-1923’ tells the tale of Irish society outside of the violence following the war of independence and during times of harsh socio-economic, cultural and political upheaval in the early 1920s.
