Dr. Niamh Lenahan, AHSS Graduate Research Centre, published an article titled 'Turning back the clock: Limerick city in the years 1955 and 1956' in the Old Limerick Journal, Number 58, Winter 2023.

By expanding on the topics raised from a private collection of personal letters in areas such as housing, St. Patrick's Day Parade, fashion and religious traditions, the article documented a social history of the city in the mid 1950s.

The Old Limerick Journal has been published regularly since 1979 and the 2023 edition was launch on Friday 1 December 2023. The journals hold articles on social and political history of Limerick.
